The Stockholms Kajakled (Stockholm Kayak Trail) is a free and open resource for anyone looking to explore Stockholms skärgård with sea kayak. The trails are quality assured and form a coherent network of over 140 km, intended for multi-day tours combining paddling, wilderness camping and outdoor life.
Stages
Trail consists of four main stages that can be tied together, plus a number of extensions and lines of connection:
Sollenkroka loop – 41.6 km, light and idyllic – Kanholmsfjärden – 43.6 km, 4+ days over open water – Runmarö loop – 28.2 km, wild outer archipelago – Stavsnäs-Dalarö – 47.1 km, the most exposed
Good to know
Kayak and equipment are rented at the joint hubs in Stavsnäs, Sollenkroka and Dalarö – in the northern archipelago you rent among others at Skärgårdens Kanotcenter in Vaxholm. Open sea requires habit, watch the wind and weather as well as the right equipment – paddling takes place at your own risk, always carrying the life jacket.
