Skärgårdens Kanotcenter & Outdoor is one of the largest paddle rentals in the northern Stockholms skärgård, based in Vaxholm only about 30 minutes from central Stockholm. They rent kayak, canoe and SUP for anything from an afternoon to multi-day adventures among the archipelago’s thousands of islands.
What they offer
The range is wide: guided tours in small groups, private tours, multi-day expeditions, self-guided tours, family paddling and even winter tours. Besides kayak, canoe and SUP they also hire out bikes, and offer camping packages and sauna experiences. They run two sites in Vaxholm – by the water on Resarö and an outdoor hub on Hamngatan – and were named Årets företagare in Vaxholm 2025.
