Cookie policy
Last updated 2026-09-23.
Paddlakartan uses as few cookies as possible. We set no cookies for tracking, ad profiling or marketing without your explicit consent.
What we use
- Necessary local storage: we may save your cookie choice and simple settings (for example chosen map layer) locally in your browser. This information never leaves your device.
- Map tiles: the map loads images from OpenStreetMap. Your browser then contacts OpenStreetMap’s servers, which may see your IP address to deliver the map.
- Statistics – Google Analytics 4: we use Google Analytics for anonymised visit statistics. With Google’s Consent Mode, statistics cookies (for example
_ga) are denied by default – no such cookies are set until you click Accept in the cookie box. Reject means Analytics is not loaded; you can still use the site. Before the choice, no cookie-based measurement is sent. After consent we measure page views and approximate geography to improve the site; we do not pass the data on for ad profiling.
Manage cookies
You can clear stored data at any time via your browser settings. Refusing non-essential storage does not affect the site’s core functions.
