This canoe route follows Göta kanal from lake Boren at Borensberg through the canal to Ljungsbro in Östergötland. A unique paddle along one of Sweden’s best-known waterways, past locks and historic surroundings.
The water is quiet and forgiving, but respect locks, canal traffic and local rules for paddling in the canal. Rent a kayak in the area, for example via Kayakomat Motala. Always wear a life jacket.
