The paddling route at Yttre Bodane runs through the island-rich Vänern archipelago south of Åmål, in Dalsland. Inshore water, ice-smoothed rock and natural harbours make a varied day trip near Yttre Bodane nature reserve.
Good to know
The route partly follows an older cargo-boat channel and can be paddled from the put-in near the reserve parking. Vänern can quickly become exposed in wind – stay inshore, bring a map and always wear a life jacket.
