Arvika Kanot & Turistcenter is in Arvika in western Värmland and has rented canoes since 1979. They run self-guided canoe tours on Värmland’s lake system and are an approved canoe centre with Svenska Kanotförbundet.
What they offer
They rent canoe and SUP and offer self-guided tours of 3–7 days with map, tent, sleeping bags and stove. Groups are kept small (max six people) and everyone gets a safety briefing. Nearby there is camping, tepee lodging and a sauna.
Good to know
Värmland’s lakes are mostly quiet but wide – plan day stages to your ability, bring a map and always wear a life jacket. Respect the nature along the routes.
