Bolmen Marin & Fritid / Bolmens Camping sits on lake Bolmen just outside Ljungby in western Småland. Bolmen is Sweden’s tenth-largest lake, and the campsite is a base in nature for canoe and kayak paddling in its wide lake archipelago.
What they offer
The campsite has around thirty canoes and kayaks to rent, with life jackets, and suits everything from short half-day trips among the islands in southern Bolmen to longer adventures. There are cabins and pitches by the water, and you can also rent a rowing boat and bike to explore the lake and the routes around it.

Bolmen is a large, open lake that can get windy – plan around the weather, stay close to shore and among the islands if you are new to it, and always wear a life jacket.
