Canodal is based on Stora Le just outside Ed in western Dalsland, near the Norwegian border. The company rents canoe and kayak for tours on the wide border lake system that links Dalsland with Norwegian Nordmarken.
What they offer
Canodal was founded in 1979 and is one of south-western Sweden’s oldest canoe rentals. They rent Canadian canoes and kayaks, run kayak fishing and tailor day and multi-day trips for groups and schools. Ed is easy to reach by car and by direct train from both Göteborg and Oslo.
Good to know
Stora Le is a long, deep lake that can get windy over the open water – plan around the weather, bring a map and always wear a life jacket. More on paddling in the region under Dalsland.
