Emåturism sits at Lixhult in Högsby Municipality and rents canoe and kayak on Emån – one of south-eastern Småland’s longest and best-known rivers. The operation is an approved canoe centre with Svenska Kanotförbundet.
What they offer
They have around twenty canoes and kayaks, from family Canadian canoes to smaller children’s kayaks. You launch at their jetty on Emån or have the canoe transported to another start. There are cabins and camping if you want to turn the trip into a multi-day outing.
Good to know
Emån is mostly slow-moving and suits beginners and families too, but check the water level and any current stretches. Bring a map, plan to your ability and always wear a life jacket.
