Fjällkajak Center (ATI Mountain Experience) is in Vålådalen in Åre municipality and rents kayaks for paddling on Jämtlands mountain lakes and waters. It is an approved canoe centre with an emphasis on quality, knowledge and guiding.
What they offer
You can rent a kayak for anything from a couple of hours to a full-day outing, and they offer guided tours and instruction. Vålådalens naturreservat with its clear-water lakes and mountain setting is impressive paddling water if you want to get close to the Jämtland mountains.
Good to know
Mountain water is cold all year and the weather can turn quickly – dress for cold, check the forecast and always wear a life jacket. Take a guided tour if you are new to mountain country.
