Glaskogens kanotcentral sits in nature reserve Glaskogen in western Värmland, one of the landskap’s finest wild areas with about eighty lakes and tarns. The centre rents canoe and kayak and is an approved canoe centre with Svenska Kanotförbundet.
What they offer
You rent a canoe or kayak for anything from a short loop of a few hours to multi-day trips with nights in the reserve’s lean-tos. The connected lake system makes Glaskogen a classic canoe destination for tent or shelter overnight.
Good to know
The water is mostly calm inland lake and suits less experienced paddlers too, but distances can be long – bring a map, plan day stages and always wear a life jacket. Respect the reserve’s rules for fires and camping.
