Höga Kusten Kajakcenter is based at Norrfjärden near Skuleberget in Ångermanland, in the middle of the Höga Kusten World Heritage. They rent sea kayaks and run courses and guided tours in some of Sweden’s most dramatic sea-kayak water.
What they offer
They rent sea kayak (June–August), hold beginner courses on Gällstasjön and arrange guided evening paddles and longer trips. Here you paddle along a steep coast with high cliff islands rising straight from the sea and sheltered lagoons in between.
Good to know
Höga Kusten is open and weather-sensitive – beginners should paddle guided or stay in sheltered water, while experienced paddlers can head out towards the islands. Booking in advance is required, and always wear a life jacket.
