Ostkustenkajak is based at Ekön in Gryt, in the transition between Sankt Anna and Tjustskärgården in Östergötland. They rent sea kayaks and are an approved canoe centre with Svenska Kanotförbundet, in the middle of an archipelago with thousands of islands.
What they offer
They rent sea kayaks and run guided trips and courses – from family and junior paddling to multi-day trips such as "Grytstriangeln" with overnight stays on islands such as Harstena and Häradskär. There is also a test centre for different kayak models and lodging packages.
Good to know
The archipelago switches between sheltered sounds and more open reaches – check the weather, stay in the lee if you are inexperienced and always wear a life jacket. A guided trip is a good way to get to know the waters.
