Paddelkompaniet is a family business that has rented kayaks in Järnavik in Blekinge for over 25 years and runs the canoe centre at Friluftscentrum Karlsnäsgården outside Ronneby. Karlsnäsgården is the finish of the Ronnebyån canoe route.
What they offer
At Karlsnäsgården you rent canoe, kayak and SUP for a few hours or a full day – there are around fifty canoes to hire. The Ronnebyån canoe route is about 70 km long and runs from Hovmantorp in Småland down to Karlsnäsgården, but it can also be paddled in shorter stages. Paddelkompaniet also rents sea kayaks in Järnavik in the archipelago.
Good to know
Ronnebyån is mostly slow-moving and suits beginners as well, while the archipelago needs a weather check. Check water level and weather, bring a map and always wear a life jacket.
