Ronnebyån runs from the country around Hovmantorp in Småland down through Blekinge to the sea at Ronneby – a canoe route of about 70 km through forest, farmland and quiet lake stretches. It can be paddled in full as a multi-day trip or in shorter stages for a day trip.

The river is mostly slow-moving and suits beginners and families on the quieter stretches, while a few parts need more attention. Karlsnäsgården outside Ronneby is the route’s classic finish. Along the way there are rest spots and camp sites if you want to split the trip.
Good to know
Rent a canoe, kayak and SUP at Paddelkompaniet at Karlsnäsgården, Tjädersdals Camping in Tingsryd or Svalemåla Stugby in the archipelago. Check water level and current stretches, bring a map and always wear a life jacket.
